A three-day event focused on voter awareness. The exhibition and programming included an art gallery entitled Protest, as curated and hosted by Art Share LA and conversations with figureheads and thought leaders in the Los Angeles area.
We (along with Shannon Brown) photographed and interviewed some of our favorite duos and creative couples. They ranged from coworkers at Soho House's membership team, run by two women Callie & Chelsea, to mother and son, Janae and King Roubleau. The opening reception was held on February 24, 2018, and ran through March 4th. The interviews will be featured in our third print issue By Way of Los Angeles.
We gathered sixteen female artists under the banner "FEMININE PRODUCT." In the Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles, we gathered to share in a safe space the implications, associations, varied meanings on "feminine" and how that's been commodified, criticized, celebrated, challenged.
